iMARL - A network of Seabed Sensors

The Irish Marine Acoustic and Seismic Network (iMARL) consists of diverse ocean-floor sensors that record seismic, acoustic, and environmental signals. It provides insights into offshore geohazards, marine processes, and Earth structure.

GeoFib

GeoFib uses Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and other fibre-interrogation methods to transform existing optical fibre cables into dense seismic arrays. This cutting-edge technology allows researchers to detect vibrations and explore Earth processes at new scales.

Master

Magnetotelluric Acquisition Systems for Terrestrial Earth Research (MASTER) pool provides instruments for measuring variations in Earth’s natural electromagnetic fields. These tools help map conductivity structures from shallow crust to deep mantle.
